Progress, Planning, and God's Provision

Our last newsletter was a while ago, but we’ve been busy in August, September, and now October. We have been visiting churches and connecting with people here in the middle of the USA, and also in Idaho, Washington, California, and parts in between. Some of you we’ve had to miss due to COVID-19 or simply scheduling issues, but we treasure each chance to meet with people and talk about what God is doing.

One of our aims in these meetings is to encourage all of us together as the Church to be involved in what God is doing in other places. A big part of that is via prayer and passion for what is going on, but another aspect is intensely practical: finances. It takes money to do the things we do.

We have the promise of God’s provision, but sometimes we look at circumstances and wonder how that’s going to happen. In the past several weeks, we have jumped from 60% to 75% of our budget. A huge thank-you to everyone who has signed on to be a part of the team!

At this point we are hoping to go back to Papua New Guinea in January. That’s approaching rapidly, but we’re trusting that it will happen in God’s timing.

Both Wycliffe and World Missions ask that our budget be fully funded before we return to field. Please pray for new and renewing partners in the work of Bible Translation. If you would like to donate, click here.
