Pray for Unrest in PNG

Some supporters of the Doyle family have contacted them, asking for an update about the unrest near where they live.

The Doyles recently sent the following official statement from SIL PNG regarding the violence in Aserangka and Nofimpa: Unrest between Aserangka and Nofimpa continues and active fighting has resumed in the vicinity of the airstrip yesterday morning. This is affecting our neighbours, our employees and our Aviation department personnel and their work.

We are continuing discussions with valley leaders, valley Pastors and the Police, and monitoring closely the situation at and around Aviation, but we recognise that the most important thing we can do is to pray.

The valley leaders and Pastors and Police have decided to meet today to push for a resolution to this violence. As of today, planes are flying again.

We are making this a ‘Call to Prayer’ to ask you to join in prayer for this conflict to become resolved. Though the violence is in proximity to our Aviation department we are not currently a target of violence. Please pray that this continues to be the case.

Thank you. [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]
