Jubilee Youth Camp in the E.C.

Youth Camp in the Eastern Caribbean celebrated a Jubilee Year with the theme “Passing on a Godly Legacy.”

Over 200 young people, in addition to adults, gathered at the new campground in Virgin Gorda, August 1-9. Linda Hayton wrote, “This property is a miracle from God. Beautiful plans are drawn up for permanent buildings.”

Bill & Linda Hayton attended as representatives of the World Mission Board. The Haytons served as missionaries in the Virgin Islands from 1969-1983 before directing the World Mission Department from 1983-2004. Bill currently serves on the World Mission Board.

Other special guests included local government officials. Deputy Premiere, the Honorable Dr. Kendric Pickering, attended a couple of youth camps as a young person; he gave the main address.

We praise God for His continued moving among the churches in the Eastern Caribbean. Continue to pray for them and for the leadership of Brother Philip Gumbs who serves as Overseer for the Eastern Caribbean Council.
